ABOUT DR. RIYA DIMAGIBA
Dr. Ma. Teresa "Riya" Ela-Dimagiba has been a practicing dermatologist for over 15 years and is board-certified by the Philippine
Dermatological Society.
Her pre-medical educational background includes graduating as a scholar of the Philippine Science High School (PSHS) and acquiring a BS Biology degree
at the University of the Philippines, Diliman under a Department of Science and Technology (DOST) scholarship.
Dr. Riya obtained her medical degree at U.E Ramon Magsaysay Medical
Center (UERMMMC). Her post-graduate medical internship was at the U.P. - Philippine
General Hospital.
Dr. Riya’s dermatology and dermatologic surgery training was obtained at the Skin and Cancer Foundation one of only 11 accredited dermatology training institutions of the Philippine Dermatological Society (PDS).
Dr. Riya is an Active Consultant at the Makati Medical Center (MMC) and the Skin and Cancer Foundation Inc. (SCFi), where she is actively involved in teaching and training residents in dermatology. Presently she is head of the Research Committee in the MMC Department of Dermatology. She is also liason of Skin and Cancer Foundation for OSPITAL ng Makati.
Dr. Riya’s affiliations include memberships in the UP Pre-Med Honor Society, Department of Science and Technology Scholars' Association, Philippine Medical Association, Q.C. Medical Society, Skin
and Cancer Foundation, Inc., Philippine Dermatological Society, Philippine Academy of Cutaneous Surgery, American Academy of Dermatology and the International Society of
Dermatology.
